Job overview

We are seeking a skilled Hosting Engineer with DevOps and AWS expertise to manage, automate, and optimize our cloud hosting infrastructure. The ideal candidate will be responsible for the design, deployment, monitoring, and security of AWS-hosted environments, ensuring high availability, scalability, and performance of production and non-production systems. This role bridges traditional hosting/infrastructure management with modern DevOps practices and CI/CD automation.

Roles and responsibility

• Design, deploy, and manage scalable, secure, and highly available infrastructure on AWS (EC2, S3, RDS, VPC, ELB/ALB, Route 53, CloudFront, Lambda, etc.)
• Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines using tools such as Jenkins, GitLab CI, AWS CodePipeline, or similar
• Implement and manage Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using Terraform, CloudFormation, or AWS CDK
• Monitor system performance, uptime, and reliability using tools like CloudWatch, Datadog, Prometheus/Grafana, or New Relic
• Manage server hosting environments — provisioning, patching, scaling, and decommissioning of servers/instances
• Implement and maintain containerization and orchestration (Docker, Kubernetes/EKS, ECS)
• Ensure infrastructure security best practices — IAM policies, security groups, encryption (at-rest/in-transit), vulnerability patching
• Collaborate with development teams to streamline deployment processes and reduce release cycle times
• Set up and manage backup, disaster recovery (DR), and business continuity processes for hosted applications
• Troubleshoot production incidents, perform root cause analysis, and implement preventive measures
• Manage DNS, load balancing, SSL/TLS certificates, and CDN configurations
• Support cost optimization initiatives across AWS environments (right-sizing, reserved instances, auto-scaling policies)
• Maintain documentation for infrastructure architecture, runbooks, and operational procedures
• Participate in on-call rotation for production support and incident response
• Ensure compliance with relevant security/regulatory frameworks (e.g., ISO 27001, SOC 2) as applicable to hosting infrastructure

Educational Qualification

• Bachelor’s degree related to technical field.
• Experience in technical consulting, training delivery, or learning operations.
