Job Title: Strategic Sourcing Specialist
Roles and responsibilities :
- Understanding the training requirement from customers across the globe and sourcing the best training supplier in the market
- Manage good working relationship with the training suppliers
- Obtaining quotes from different suppliers and creating standard bid summary by assessing the quotes
- Negotiate on the proposals from training suppliers to provide customers with the most competitive pricing in the market
- Develop and deliver cost savings through implementing optimum sourcing strategies
- Working with legal counsel to ensure that all contracts relating to product procurement contain all details of the negotiation
- Coordinate multiple tasks and detailed activities in a time-intensive work environment
- Correspond with customer and training partners for all training delivery related communications like dates and venue finalizing, registering the learner to training etc
- Use a data driven approach to rationalize supplier base
- Maintain data integrity among different systems internally
- Identify opportunities for operational excellence and cost saving for customers
- Follow best practice processes, and suggest Lean opportunities

Graduate/post Graduate
Skills
Experience
- Minimum of 2 years of progressive experience in commodity sourcing and management or purchasing and commercial management
- Experience in working with suppliers in Learning industry will be considered a strong plus
- Experience with sourcing in international markets and supplier quality assessment
- Strong Negotiation skills
- Demonstrated success in developing and fostering relationships with suppliers while driving lower costs, superior performance and continuous improvement
- Experience of monitoring and managing work queues
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, Excel, and Outlook
- Strong communication skills in all forms including written, oral, email, telephone, and presentation
- Sound time-management and organizational skills
- Ability to use own initiative and pay close attention to detail
- Capable of hands on problem-solving, with ability to generate ideas and solutions
