Job Overview
The Senior Project Coordinator is responsible for driving project execution by coordinating complex activities, managing stakeholders, and ensuring adherence to timelines, budgets, and quality standards. This role acts as a key bridge between project teams and leadership, supporting project managers while also taking ownership of critical workstreams and process improvements.
Roles & Responsibilities
- Lead coordination of multiple projects or complex workstreams from initiation to closure
- Develop, manage, and optimize detailed project plans, schedules, and resource allocation
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams and senior stakeholders to ensure alignment on goals and deliverables
- Monitor project performance, track milestones, and ensure timely delivery
- Identify, assess, and mitigate project risks, issues, and dependencies
- Drive governance processes, ensuring compliance with project management standards
- Prepare and present detailed project reports, dashboards, and executive summaries
- Facilitate stakeholder meetings, steering committees, and decision-making discussions
- Oversee documentation, change management, and version control processes
- Support budget tracking, cost control, and forecasting activities
- Mentor junior coordinators and provide guidance on best practices
- Continuously improve processes, tools, and workflows to enhance project efficiency
Educational Qualification
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Management, Engineering, or a related field
- MBA/PGDM (preferred but not mandatory)
- Project management certification (e.g., PMP, PRINCE2, Agile certifications) preferred
Experience
- 4–6 years of experience is required
- Proven experience handling complex or large-scale projects across multiple teams
- Strong experience with project management tools (e.g., MS Project, Jira, Asana, Trello)
- In-depth understanding of project management methodologies (Agile, Waterfall, Hybrid)
