Job Title:  Database Administrator

Job Summary

• Database Administration in SQL Server (2005, 2008, 2012, 2016) On prem and on cloud - Familiar with SQL Azure.
• Experience in Troubleshooting and resolving database integrity issues, performance issues, blocking and deadlocking issues, replication issues, log shipping issues, connectivity issues, security issues etc.
• Experience in Performance Tuning, Query Optimization, using Performance Monitor, SQL Profiler and other related monitoring and troubleshooting tools.
• Ability to detect and troubleshoot SQL Server related CPU, memory, I/O, disk space and other resource contention.
• Strong knowledge of backups, restores, recovery models, database shrink operations, DBCC commands, Clustering, Database mirroring, Replication.
• SQL Development – ability to write and troubleshoot SQL Code and design (stored process, functions, tables, views, triggers, indexes, constraints).
• Knowledge in SQL Clustering setup and configuration.
• SQL Database Operational support to tech users.

Educational Qualification

• Profound knowledge in RDMS. MS SQL, MySQL, Postgres.
• Knowledge of Database query, Database theory & Design.
• Knowledge of Structure query language.
• Knowledge in storage and networking.
• Understanding of Operating system and distributed computing architecture.
• Knowledge in system backup and tape backup.
• Understanding of routine maintenance, recovery and handling of recovery of a database.
• SQL DBA, SQL Backup & Restore, Performance Tuning, Query Optimization.
