Title - Instructional Designer
Location - Bengaluru
Mode- Hybrid
Duration- 12 Months Contract
The Learning Designer & Developer role within *** University is a hands‑on, mid‑level position responsible for designing and developing high‑quality, externally focused learning experiences that support *** University’s global client and partner curriculum portfolio.
This role operates within *** University’s global curriculum development model, working under the direction of US‑based Curriculum Architects, who define learning strategy, learning objectives, experience frameworks, and curriculum standards for external audiences. The Learning Designer & Developer is responsible for executing against that strategy, shaping defined objectives into engaging, effective, and scalable learning experiences for clients and ecosystem partners.
The role partners closely with Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) to help convert complex payments, technology, and industry concepts into clear, learner‑centered experiences suitable for professional, client‑facing audiences. The role is also expected to leverage AI‑enabled tools responsibly and effectively to improve development efficiency—using AI to accelerate the creation of draft designs, outlines, scripts, and learning assets,
Qualifications
- 3–6 years of experience in instructional design, learning design, or learning experience design, ideally supporting external or professional audiences
- Demonstrated experience delivering end‑to‑end learning assets, from design through development and build
- Strong understanding of adult learning principles and learning experience design best practices
- Demonstrated ability to use AI‑enabled tools to support content development, including drafting designs, scripts, or learning assets, with clear accountability for final outputs
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience designing learning for external, client‑facing, or professional audiences
- Familiarity with common learning authoring tools such as Articulate Rise, Storyline, or similar platforms
- Experience developing video‑based or media‑rich learning experiences
- Experience using AI‑enabled content creation tools (e.g., Synthesia or similar), or demonstrated ability to quickly learn and apply AI tools to improve efficiency in learning design and development workflows
- Comfort working within a global delivery model with distributed, cross‑functional teams
Experience
Key Responsibilities
- Design and develop high‑quality, learner‑centered learning experiences for external audiences, aligned to defined learning objectives, experience frameworks, and curriculum standards
- Execute externally focused learning strategy, producing instructional designs, storyboards, scripts, slide decks, facilitator guides, participant materials, and supporting assets
- Develop digital, blended, and instructor‑led learning experiences intended for clients, partners, and ecosystem participants, using established templates, tools, and design standards
- Leverage AI‑enabled tools to accelerate the creation of draft learning designs, storyboards, scripts, and content outlines, applying instructional expertise to validate, refine, and finalize outputs
- Apply sound instructional and learning experience design judgment to ensure AI‑assisted outputs meet learning objectives, professional audience expectations, and *** University quality standards
