The incumbent will help assess business and scientific problems for quantum suitability and contribute to research, analysis, and proof-of-concept development in areas such as optimization, simulation, and quantum machine learning.
- Develop understanding of quantum computing fundamentals, including qubits, quantum states, measurement, superposition, entanglement, and quantum circuits.
- Evaluate business and scientific problems to identify opportunities where quantum computing may provide advantages over classical approaches.
- Support research, experimentation, and proof-of-concept development in areas such as quantum simulation, optimization, and quantum machine learning.
- Work with quantum computing platforms and tools such as Qiskit to build, execute, and analyze quantum workloads.
- Understand quantum hardware limitations, noise, error mitigation techniques, and quantum-centric computing concepts.
- Contribute to quantum security awareness, including quantum-safe cryptography and post-quantum security considerations.
- Collaborate with technical and business stakeholders to communicate quantum concepts, findings, and recommendations.
- Stay updated on emerging trends, industry use cases, and advancements in quantum technologies.
